the beginnings of summer have found me making homemade ice cream in my kitchen aid more days than not. i’ve always loved spending time in the kitchen making something sweet, and there’s no better treat on a hot summers day!

this summer, i am longing for slow. unhurried, less plans. more activities that invite in leisure — setting up a blanket by the ocean to read, going for a long stroll in my neighborhood, riding my bike to a local coffee shop, making things from scratch (mostly homemade ice cream), picnics in the meadow with conversation cards in tow, and perhaps more naps.

i love capturing photographs - in all their forms. on this night, it was polaroid. a few frames taken by my love, and one of us together.

there’s not a whole lot i love more than spending an afternoon in the kitchen, baking my all time favorite cookies from the kinfolk table. their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are a dream, and making them has become a tradition in the fall time

the beginnings of fall on the coast have been nothing short of a dream. i’ll never want to forget —
